Owen Michael Onda
Owen passed away, unexpectedly, on April 10th, 2025, as a result of complications from a Wilms Tumor. This foundation is created to honor the sweet, kind spirited, boy who was loved by many people. He has touched lives of people he had never met since his passing.
Our mission is to remember Owen by creating fun outdoor activities in the community. Owen loved everything about the outdoors. He liked to hunt, fish, swim, play ball, run and bike. Basically, he liked anything outdoors.
Owen loved Jesus and we take comfort in knowing he is in Heaven dancing. It is not for us to understand why this happened, we are blessed to have been loved by him. NLV Jeremiah 31:3 “The Lord came to us from far away, saying, “I have loved you with a love that lasts forever. So, I have helped you come to Me with loving-kindness.”

Owen had a deep love for pirate ships, monster trucks, and outdoor play. We are working to build a lasting tribute that reflects his vibrant personality and offers a place for children to laugh, explore, and connect — just like he did. Thanks to our sponsors, donors, vendors, friends and family, we were able to raise $25,000. The pirate ship play area will be located at Kankakee Township Park. Kougar Pride Preschool
Owen loved attending school at Kougar Pride Preschool. He had just finished the school year when he passed away. His cap and gown were ordered, however, he did not get the opportunity to walk in the graduation ceremony.
To memorialize his accomplishment, we would like to honor him with yearly preschool scholarship(s) in his name to Kougar Pride Preschool. This scholarship will be awarded by random drawing from those that apply.

Please fill out the form below to be considered for our tuition scholarship to Kougar Pride Preschool in Wheatfield, IN or Demotte, IN location.
The student must enroll at Kougar Pride, in the 4-5 year old class. One Scholarship winner per school will be randomly drawn from applicant submissions. The winner will be announced before classes begin in August.
Filling out this form does not guarantee a scholarship for your student. Someone from the foundation board will call the winner in August.
