Owen Michael Onda

Owen passed away, unexpectedly, on April 10th, 2025, as a result of complications from a Wilms Tumor. This foundation is created to honor the sweet, kind spirited, boy who was loved by many people. He has touched lives of people he had never met since his passing.

Our mission is to remember Owen by creating fun outdoor activities in the community. Owen loved everything about the outdoors. He liked to hunt, fish, swim, play ball, run and bike. Basically, he liked anything outdoors.

Owen loved Jesus and we take comfort in knowing he is in Heaven dancing. It is not for us to understand why this happened, we are blessed to have been loved by him. NLV Jeremiah 31:3 “The Lord came to us from far away, saying, “I have loved you with a love that lasts forever. So, I have helped you come to Me with loving-kindness.”

Our 1st project-success

Owen had a deep love for pirate ships, monster trucks, and outdoor play. With the help of our sponsors, donors, vendors, friends and family, we have been able to create a lasting tribute which reflects Owen's vibrant personality. This offers a place for children to laugh, explore, and connect — remembering Owen for years to come. We were able to raise $25,000 to place the pirate ship play area at the Kankakee Township Park in Wheatfield. Sending much Appreciation to all,

Our Annual Project

Scholarship

Kougar Pride Preschool

Owen loved attending school at Kougar Pride Preschool. He had just finished the school year when he passed away. His cap and gown were ordered, however, he did not get the opportunity to walk in the graduation ceremony.

To memorialize his accomplishment, we would like to honor him with yearly preschool scholarship(s) in his name to Kougar Pride Preschool. This scholarship will be awarded by random drawing from those that apply.
